Closing the Loop - with Exolon Group

Exolon Group closes the (plastic) cycle

“Closing the Loop” is a program which we have initiated to minimize waste throughout the value chain. Many of our dealers and processors already salvage their scrap and waste, supplying these to recycling companies from which we obtain high-quality material. New partners are always welcome, as recyclate is unfortunately still a scarce resource today.

The Exolon Group closes the (plastic) cycle

Recycled plastic is a valuable raw material. This is why we are facing up to the challenge of creating a functioning circular economy. For the recycled sheets in our ECORANGE assortment, we use high-quality recycled material to ensure a consistent level of quality – like in all our products.

To this end, we have launched the "Closing the Loop" project. Together with distributors, fabricators and recycling companies we aim at recycling all the waste generated when processing our sheets into finished goods.

As part of the “Closing the Loop” project, our customers can have their waste material recycled at specialized recycling companies and contribute to a reliable circular solution. All the thermoplastics they provide back are recycled, meaning they do not end up in landfills or becoming incinerated. Every kilo of material recycled prevents approx. 4.5 kg of CO2 emissions. In addition, all material remains in the EU and is not disposed of in any other way.

In this project we co-operate with Pekutherm, a TÜV-certified waste disposal company for transparent plastic materials which offers a complete solution for recycling thermoplastic products. Exolon Group uses high-quality ground material in our ECORANGE sheets.
