We are seeking a highly motivated

Business Controller (m/v/x)

to join our team. The Business Controller will play a key role in analysing data and supporting strategic decision-making. This position requires a deep understanding of a production environment and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize operations and drive profitability. This role offers an exciting opportunity to delve into manufacturing process costs while collaboratively devising logical solutions with the other departments.

Exolon Group NV was founded 40 years ago in Tielt and has grown to become one of Europe's leading companies in the extrusion and sale of optical sheets made from high quality plastics such as polycarbonate and polyester.

Your tasks:

• You will be a key player within the Finance organisation. You are an allround finance professional who works closely together with other teams, including production, supply chain and sales to drive financial performance and operational excellence.  Tasks include the following:
  • You discuss and further optimise management reporting and analysis varying from sales price analysis, margin analysis, actuals vs budget reporting and forecasting.
  • You review and analyse production costs, including materials, labour, and overhead, to ensure accurate cost allocation and pricing strategies.
  • You create added value by making recommendations and thus enabling well-founded business decisions.
  • You develop, maintain and follow-up on business data (e.g. margins per product group, margins per customer, budgets, cost targets, KPI).
  • You monitor and control operational costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • You assist in setting-up new reporting tools.
  • You assist in the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with company objectives.
• You report to the CFO of the group.
• You will be based in Tielt.

Your qualification:

• You have a Bachelor or Master Degree in the field of Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• You have gained at least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably within a production environment.
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• You can easily communicate with different departments.
• You can express yourself fluently in Dutch & English.
• You are an advanced user of MS Excel.
• A first experience with SAP S/4Hana (FICO) and/or BI-tools are considered a strong plus.
